NC4W Snow Run Jan 28, 2017
Joined NorCal 4-Wheelers for the first snow wheeling trip of the year. The group assembled in Georgetown and set out to Uncle Tom's Cabin located off Wentworth Springs Road in the Eldorado National Forest. Made a stop at Stumpy Meadows Lake to rendezvous with more rigs joining on the run. The weather was sunny and the wind was calm, which made for a pleasant trip through the wilderness. Most notable was driving through the devastating burn area from the King Fire in Fall of 2014. Most of the photos I took of the burn area were through the windshield of a moving truck, but are still a good example of what it was like. Uncle Tom's Cabin provided some excellent hills for sledding, and friends old and new had a good laugh.
